Our Story

Welcome to our Website

My name is Pastor Jonathan Fitzner. I was born in the Ukraine, in an area known as “Wolhynia”. In 1939-1940, the Russian Government ordered all Germans out of Wolhynia. We were taken to Germany, and from there we were taken to what was known as “Wartegau” which is now Poland.

In 1947 we went secretly through the Iron Curtain and arrived safely in West Germany.

In 1957 I decided to go to the Bible College in Fritzlar, Germany.  The summer of 1960 I married. As Parents we were blessed with four wonderful Children.

In 1961, I became a Pastor, and we served about 11 years in Germany. We received a call in 1972 from the U.S.A to continue our Ministry. Now, in me retirement, I worship at the Washington Ave Church of God, in St Joseph MI.
